Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox won a scholarship award to attend London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. She survived on a student stipend and did part-time jobs in order to make ends meet. Lennox was able to make a change in her career path when she was dissatisfied with her inexperience in contrast to other Royal Academy students. Lennox was a flute player in the 1976 group called Dragons Playground. However she left before the band went to I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. She was the lead singer to The Tourists (a British popband) between 1977 and 1980. There she made friends with Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Lennox collaborated on her solo debut record Diva. The album was released in 1993. The album received a lot of praise, both from critics and the public. Nostalgia Lennoxs Sixth Solo Album debuted on October 31, 2014. The C.D. Lennox has chosen her favorite jazz, blues and soul tracks. In addition in May 2019 Lennox has released Lepidoptera a collection comprising four tracks improvised by piano. The E.P. is an accompanying piece for her installation of art at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now, I'll let You Go... It is also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on the 25th of December. She is an activist, philanthropist as well as a singer. The Tourists had a minor success in the late 1970s. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, would go on to gain international recognition in the 1980s as the Eurythmics. Lennox started her own solo music career in 1992, by releasing an album titled Diva. The album featured a variety of popular songs including the hit song Walking On Broken Glass and What's the Matter with You. Medusa is her album of studio work from 1995. It has covers of songs like No MoreI love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. The six solo studio albums as well as her compilation album have a lot of hits.
